Sakura Pigma Micron pens would have to be my ABSOLUTE fave to ink my illustrations in (Archival black, sizes 03 and 05 respectively). I love the tightness and control of the line this pen gives, and the fact that the ink doesn't feather or bleed is a HUGE deciding factor for me with respect to selecting an outstanding inking tool.
I am a traditional and digital Artist, and when it comes to creating my illustrations, I often work on tracing paper, and Sakura Pigma Micron pens have a beautiful, symbiotic relationship with it.
After penciling my original design onto my sketch pad, I “ink” my image onto tracing paper with the Sakura Pigma Micron pen (gone are the days of light boxes), then I scan my work into the computer, and pull it up in Adobe Photoshop on my Mac.
Due to the accuracy of the line in my images, with thanks to Sakura Pigma Micron pens, editing is a breeze. Most definitely, these pens are my Number One Pen of Choice for inking. |
