To make the "Life Is A Beach" page, you'll need

  • Sakura Permapaque® markers in assorted colors
  • Sakura Pigma Micron® pen in pink
  • Hot Off The Press Paper Pizazz print paper and vellum
  • HollyCraft Nesters template
  • D.J. Inkers alphabet template
  • Xyron Adhesive System
  • 3L photo adhesive squares

Who says print paper and markers don't mix? Just look at the lovely effect you can achieve when you use markers on vellum, then arrange on a subtle print background.

To make this page, crop photos as desired. Use the Nesters template to crop one photo into an oval. Adhere the oval to vellum, then use the template and a pencil to draw the fish and trace the mat edge. Cut the vellum along the traced mat edge. Use the Permapaque markers to color in the fish and add a dash-dot border. Mat the remaining photos on vellum, and use the markers to embellish the mats. Freehand cut the waves, and add detail with blue and white markers.

For the title, use the Nesters template to draw the sun, and the alphabet template to draw the lettering on vellum paper. Add more journaling as desired with a Pigma Micron marker. To adhere vellum to the page background, use a Xyron machine and adhesive.
