Grand Sumo Tournament in Los Angeles

Sakura of America continues to support world-class events by accepting the invitation to be a major sponsor of the 2008 Grand Sumo Tournament in
Los Angeles, CA. The tournament, sanctioned by Nihon Sumo Kyokai, the official Japan Sumo Federation, is the third sumo tournament to be held in the
United States. Mr. Teiichi Nishimura, President of the parent company, Sakura Color Products Corporation of

Spirit of Japantown - San Jose

San Jose Japantown held "SPIRIT OF JAPAN TOWN FESTIVAL" on October 6th, 2007. Sakura of America's featured its Sumo Stickler kits as a ‘make and take' project that engaged booth visitors in a creative activity. Promoters of the Grand Sumo Tournament Los Angeles joined the event and presented an autograph session by retired Hawaiian sumo wrestler Azumazeki Oyakata (Takamiyama).
